Information we collect
We collect account details, display names, subscription records, saved stories, reader submissions and newsletter email addresses. Dodo Payments processes checkout and payment details; we store provider identifiers and subscription status, not full card information.
How we use it
We use data to authenticate readers, provide paid access, review submissions, send the newsletter, secure the service, maintain billing records and communicate essential account information. We rely on performance of our contract with you (providing the account and Premium you signed up for), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working properly, and your consent where you’ve opted into the newsletter.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your session, set by Supabase authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
Processors and retention
Supabase provides authentication and database infrastructure, Dodo Payments provides payment processing and merchant services, and the deployed hosting provider serves the application. These providers may process data in countries other than your own; where they do, they contractually commit to appropriate safeguards for that transfer. We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active, and billing records for as long as applicable tax and accounting rules require. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep specific records for legal, security or dispute-resolution reasons.
Your choices
You may update account details, cancel Premium through the billing portal, and request access, correction, export or deletion of your data where applicable. Some transaction or moderation records may be retained where law or legitimate security needs require it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or a state privacy law — including the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
